So my Madeleine (Maddie) was born whilst our Madeleine (Maddy) was in hospital for her diagnosis in September 2003. Maddie is a constant reminder of Maddy, but apparently almost TOO much of a reminder for my wife a week or so ago... Maddie was asserting her 2nd grade independence, and perhaps copping a little too much attitude, so my wife went to give her the "YOUR WHOLE LONG NAME HERE..." sort of treatment to get her attention, but what came out instead was, "MADELEINE PAGE! GET OVER HERE!"
It makes me smile.
